Yiannis Misirlis

Chairman, Cyprus Property Developers Association & Chairman, Imperio Group

Yiannis Misirlis is the founder and Chairman of Imperio Group, one of the most reputable and sustainability-focused real estate companies in Cyprus. He holds three university degrees from London and Madrid; a BSc in Civil Engineering and an MSc in Information Technology from University College London (UCL), and an International MBA from IE Business School in Madrid. He has served on the Board of the Cyprus Property Developers Association (CPDA) since 2009 and has been its Chairman since 2024. He is a regular speaker at major international forums such as the Economist in New York and London. His opinions have been published in the Financial Times, Hong Kong Times, Vedomosti Moscow, and Gulf News. He was voted “Businessman of the Year” by the newspaper Politis in 2010 and was named “Manager of the Year 2017” by InBusiness magazine.

 

Konstantinos Ioannou

Minister of Interior, Republic of Cyprus

Born on March 24, 1969, Konstantinos Ioannou is a graduate of the English School, Nicosia. He studied Business Administration at the Manchester School of Management, UMIST, in the UK and pursued further studies in the USA with a Fulbright scholarship at Cornell University, earning an MBA in Hotel Management. Since 1997, he has been a founder, consultant, and board member of IMH until 2018. He served as CEO and board member of Real Time Hospitality Intelligence, USA (1996-2001). In 2006, he founded C.C. Coffee Company Ltd, which owns the Gloria Jean’s Coffees International franchise in Cyprus, and represented the European region in Retail Food Group, Australia’s advisory group. He served as Minister of Health from March 1, 2018, to July 1, 2021, and was honored by the University of Nicosia in 2022 for his vision and efforts in implementing the General Health System (GHS). Since March 1, 2023, he has been Minister of Interior. He is married with three children.

Demetris Tsiakkis

Head of Business Development and Strategy, Altia

Demetris heads Altia’s Business development and Strategy and is responsible for driving the growth of the company by implementing strategic initiatives, identifying partnerships, and exploring new markets and products within the real estate sector.

Prior to joining Altia he was a Director in Deloitte Middle East’s Financial Advisory, specializing in M&A, Performance Optimization and Data Analytics. Having worked in Deloitte London for most of his career he has worked on more than €30bn worth of transaction deals, many of which related to companies operating within the real estate and hospitality sectors.

Demetris is Chartered accountant with the ICAEW and holds a MEng in Civil and Structural Engineering.

 

 

Charalambos Prountzos

Mayor of Nicosia

Charalambos Prountzos, born in Nicosia in 1978, hails from the occupied villages of Gerolakkos and Akanthou. He holds an LLB (Hons) from the University of Bristol (2001) and is a Barrister-at-Law from the Inns of Court School of Law, London, with a Diploma in Professional Legal Skills from City University. A licensed insolvency practitioner and lawyer, he is the Managing Partner of Prountzos & Prountzos LLC, which he founded in 2010. He has significant experience in regulated markets, competition law, mergers, acquisitions, and energy projects. Charalambos led legal services for a Big4 firm in the CEE, SEE, and Central Asia region from 2019 to 2023. He has served as Chairman of the Council at the Open University of Cyprus and on the Board of CYENS, a research center. He was also involved in the Cyprus reunification talks. Charalambos is married to journalist Gogo Alexandrinou, and they have two children.

Yiannis Armeftis

Mayor of Limassol

Yiannis Armeftis was born in 1971 and raised in Limassol. He studied Architecture at the Polytechnic School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, graduating in 1994. The following year, he established his own architectural practice, which developed into Armeftis and Associates in 2004 and was renamed Armeftis and Partners in 2019. In 2007, he received the State Architecture Award for Young Architect. His firm has won numerous architectural competitions, and has represented Cyprus in the EU Prize for Contemporary Architecture – Mies van der Rohe Award.

He is a member of the Cyprus Scientific and Technical Chamber (ETEK) and the Cyprus Architects Association.

From 2007 to 2016, Mr. Armeftis served on the Limassol Municipal Council during the mayoral term of Andreas Christou. He held key leadership roles, including Chairman of the Development and Tourism Committee, Head of the Municipal Group of the Democratic Party (DIKO) (2012–2016), and Representative of the Union of Municipalities on the Town Planning Exceptions Board (2015–2017).

In 2014, he established the Andreas Armeftis Foundation for the Study of Democracy, a scientific non-profit organisation that promotes democratic values, civic dialogue, and social conciliation. From 2018 to 2024, he served as President of the Pancyprian Organization of Relatives of Fallen Resistance Fighters.

In July 2024, Yiannis Armeftis was elected Mayor of Limassol.

Constantinos Yiorkadjis

Chairman, Nicosia District Local Government Organisation

Constantinos Yiorkadjis is the Chairman of The Nicosia District Local Government Organisation. He served as Mayor of Nicosia from January 2012 to June 2024. During that period he led the initiative to develop and revitalize Nicosia and to transform it into an aesthetically pleasing, friendlier, more sustainable and inclusive city, for all residents, visitors and future generations. Prior to taking office as Mayor, he worked for 17 years in the private sector, in multinational corporations in Romania, Greece and Cyprus. He holds two bachelor’s degrees with distinction, one in Economics and one in Business Administration, both from Boston University.

Yiannis Tsouloftas

Chairman, Limassol District Local Government Organisation

Υiannis Tsouloftas was born in Limassol. He holds five university degrees from institutions in Germany, England, the United States, and Cyprus. He began his professional career as a Project Engineer at a multinational company in the United Kingdom before joining the Electricity Authority of Cyprus (EAC). He was a member of the National Negotiating Team for the development of Natural Gas Infrastructure, a member of the Energy Crisis Management Team in 2011, and served as the spokesperson for the EAC. Additionally, he has been a visiting lecturer in the MBA postgraduate program at the Cyprus International Institute of Management (CIIM). He has participated at international conferences and has published numerous articles on economic development, energy, water resources, and the management of Public Organisations. From 2015 to 2020, he served as General Manager of a private company. In 2020, he was appointed General Manager of the Limassol-Amathus Sewerage Board, and in 2024, he was elected Chairman of the Limassol District Local Government Organisation (EOA Lemesos). He envisions and plans a modern Regional Local Government Organisation in Limassol with a strong social conscience, a focus on economic development, and an environmentally sustainable approach.

Constantinos Petrides

Former Minister of Finance, Republic of Cyprus

Dynamic and visionary policy maker with ten years of experience (2013 – 2023) in three of the most important Ministerial posts at the Government of Cyprus. Stelios Gavriel

Stelios Gavriel studied Civil Engineering in London and serves as Managing Director of N. Gavriel & Sons Ltd, bringing many years of experience in the construction sector across both public and private projects. In June 2021, he was elected President of both the Federation of Building Contractors Associations of Cyprus (OSEOK) and the Cyprus Building Contractors Association (SEOK). He has been a member of the boards of OSEOK and SEOK since 2015. He is also Chairman of the Provident Fund of Builders and Construction Employees of the Construction Industry and Related Sectors of Cyprus, and a member of the Executive Committee of the Cyprus Employers and Industrialists Federation (OEB). Furthermore, he serves on the Board of Directors of the Cyprus Joint Construction Contracts Tribunal Ltd (MEDSK), and previously served as a Board Member of the Council for the Registration and Control of Contractors for Building and Technical Works from 2018 to 2021. He is a registered member of the Cyprus Scientific and Technical Chamber (ETEK) and the Cyprus Association of Civil Engineers (SPOLMIK).

 

Constantinos Constanti

President, Cyprus Scientific and Technical Chamber (ETEK)

Born in 1968 in Famagusta, he graduated from the Sofia University of Architecture. He runs an architectural office in Nicosia and served as President of the Cyprus Architects Association from 2001 to 2005, reelected in 2009, and remained in office until 2014. He was a member of the Deviation Study Council (2006–2012) and the Town Planning Council (2012–2018). He served as the Second Vice President of ETEK (2005–2011) and was reelected to the General Council of ETEK in 2011, holding the position of First Vice President until October 2020. Since October 2020, he has been the President of ETEK.

Antonis Kakoullis

Vice President, Cyprus Property Developers Association

Antonis Kakoullis is a Civil Engineer and a member of ETEK. He graduated from City University of London and holds a Master’s degree in Building Economics and Management from UCL. Over the years, he has also participated in development teams for large-scale projects, with a particular focus on hospitality, master planning, and public-private partnerships (PPP).

Yiannos holds a BSc and an MSc in Finance. He has also successfully completed the certified real estate appraiser examination of the State of Maryland, USA. He previously served on the Board of the Cyprus Property Developers Association and is a member of the Cypriot Real Estate Owners Association. George Chrysochos

George Chrysochos, Executive Director of Cyfield Group, has been involved in the family business from a young age, working across various departments. Tonis Toumazis

Tonis Toumazis was born in 1952 in Famagusta. He studied Civil Engineering at University College London (UCL) and went on to earn an MSc in Structural Engineering and a D.I.C. from Imperial College London, as well as an M.A. in Advanced Architectural Studies from the Bartlett School of Architecture, UCL. He also served as a member of the Civil Engineering teaching faculty at UCL. In 1974, he took part in the ELDYK (Hellenic Force in Cyprus) military operations during the Turkish invasion. After spending nine years in London, he returned to Cyprus to continue his professional journey. Today, he is the Founder of Atlas Pantou Group, Atlas Panton Group, and Telmen Group—three dynamic organizations comprising more than 15 companies with operations in Cyprus and abroad. These groups are recognized leaders in Cyprus’s construction sector. He is the President of Cyprus Research Centre (KY.KE.M) since 1997. With decades of experience, Mr. Toumazis has played a pivotal role in shaping landmark construction projects and fostering innovation within the industry. Agis Georgiades

Agis Georgiades is an advocate, barrister, arbitrator and mediator. He is a member of Cyprus Bar Association, the Bar of England and Wales, and is also a registered practitioner in the DIFC Courts. He is based in Nicosia and is a Partner and Head of International Disputes at CGA, focusing on complex international dispute resolution, including arbitration and litigation before local and international tribunals, in Cyprus and abroad. Andreas Michael

CEO, Cyview Group

Mr. Michael was born in 1962 in Nicosia and attended the A’ Kykkos Gymnasium. During attending his military service (1980–1982), he earned a correspondence Diploma in Architectural Drawing and Building Construction from the UK. In 1982, he moved to the United States, where he studied Economics in New York until 1986. From 1986 to 1993, he worked in banking institutions in New York. Upon returning to Cyprus in 1994, he taught accounting and finance at the College of Tourism and Hotel Management. He later worked at Lombard Natwest Bank and Universal Savings Bank, serving as Regional Lending Manager from 1997 to 2007. In 2001, he co-founded T&A CYVIEW DEVELOPERS LTD with his wife, a company operating in land development and construction. He currently serves as the CEO of Cyview Group, overseeing the company’s strategic direction and development portfolio. He is actively involved in community affairs at both local and national levels.

 

Konstantinos Papanikolaou
